Clarification: block size

Hello again! There seems to be a little miscommunication about final block size. Patricia and I are wanting the final size of your block to be 12 inches (11 1/2" plus 1/4 seam allowance). If you've already created a block that's 12 1/2" maybe you can salvage it by cutting it off a bit?? or if it's too small then maybe adding a strip to the side?? Sorry for the confusion!

It's obvious you're not a quilter. There are NO commercial patterns for an 11-1/2" block - at least not in my quilt book library, and you don't just 'cut off a bit' of a finished block
